There’s often no better way to beat back the burning heat of the summer months than a cold, refreshing glass. Why not add a whole rainbow of international beverages to your repertoire? Impress and entertain your friends and family at your next get-together with the pop of vibrant color these summer drinks bring to the table!

*If you prefer a bit more sweetness in these summer drinks, you can try adding cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla powder, or shredded coconut.

**You can replace honey with maple syrup, if you are vegan or allergic.

Without peeling, slice 1 lemon, 1 orange, and 1 cored apple. Add a cup of each: mixed berries, still water, and grape juice to a pitcher. Leave in the fridge for at least 1 hour (or overnight). Add ice to your liking and 4 cups of sparkling water when you’re ready to serve!
Red Sangria

Orange Spritzer

Add 2 cups of pineapple chunks, 6 rosemary sprigs, ½ cup water, plus zest and juice from 1 grapefruit to a saucepan. Simmer over medium for 15 minutes. Mash the pineapples, strain the mixture, and mix with 1½ cups grapefruit juice and 3 cups carbonated water. Allow to cool in the fridge. Add ice and grapefruit wedges to each glass and serve!
Toss a cup of diced mango, a cup of plain non-fat yogurt, ½ cup coconut milk, and a sprinkle of cinnamon to a food processor and blend until smooth as butter. That’s it! Alternatively, if you are vegan, add another cup of coconut milk and some lime juice.
Yellow Lassi

Green Soda

In a blender, combine ½ pound of peeled, seeded cucumber chunks and ½ pound of honeydew chunks with 4 basil leaves. Blend, strain, and chill for 30-60 minutes. Add juice from 3 limes and 2 tablespoons of honey. Fill half a glass with the mixture and the other half with sparkling water. Garnish with more basil.
Combine 2 cups of water with a pint of rinsed blueberries. Strain over 2 frozen glasses, stir in a teaspoon of lemon juice and a tablespoon of honey, and top with a mint garnish.
Agua Fresca

Indigo Tea

In a pot, mix 8 cups of water with a few ginger slices, 1/2 a cinnamon stick, and a few allspice berries and bring to boil. Stir in a cup of dried hibiscus, remove from heat, and let sit for 20 minutes. Strain, discard solids, and chill completely before serving.
In a saucepan, combine ½ cup of water, 4 lavender sprigs, and a teaspoon of honey. Bring to boil over low heat, then let sit for 10 minutes. Add ½ cup coconut milk and bring to boil again. Strain the tea into a mug just as it starts boiling and serve!
